How does a Photo Shoot work, and what does it cost?

Photo Shoot Package: $300
Standard studio shoot includes 3 hours of labor (photography, digital editing, and burning DVD).

Additional Time: $100
Each additional hour of studio time and/or editing time.

  • We do a photo shoot in my modern loft. Actual time in front of the camera is usually around 45 minutes.
  •  I upload your images from the camera to a computer and burn a DVD, which you take home. Because you are taking the product with you, you’ll need to pay at the end of the shoot.
  • Spend some time reviewing these high-res images at home. Select what you want edited, and email me the file names, in order of importance.
  • I edit, (see example at right) starting at the top of the list, until your time runs out. The number of images edited depends on how much editing each image requires.
  • I send you the resulting finished images via Dropbox.
  • You own exclusive copyright to every image.

For Prints, you own the digital “negatives”. No need to pay marked-up prices for prints. Upload your edited files to most any Wolf camera store, Walmart or Drugstore and do instant self-service prints anytime. Or upload them to photography sites like Snapfish or Flickr and order your prints online.

TIPS FOR YOUR PHOTO SHOOT

  • Clothing: Please take care with your clothes to avoid wrinkles…they are almost impossible to fix post-production. Please hang up all of your
    modeling clothes. Never wear modeling clothes to the photo shoot. Instead, hang them up and bring them with you. Dress casually to come to the photo shoot.
  • Makeup for Guys: It’s best to not use any makeup or bronzer of any kind. Generally, it’s only to cover blemishes and I can do that far better job post-production than any makeup can compensate for. What you can do is moisturize. Bring lip balm to keep your lips moist.
  • Makeup for Women: Please take time to apply your makeup before the shoot. Take special care with the details. These are hi-res images. Flawed makeup is far more difficult to repair than a blemish.
  • Blemishes: Don’t sweat it. Really. Those are easily fixed during the digital editing process.
  • Guys Facial Hair: Unless you are using an unshaved look, please shave your face just before the shoot. Take time to look at the results closely. It all shows up on the image.
  • Teeth: You probably forgot all about lunch, but there it is, messin’ up that pretty smile. Brush before coming or pack a toothbrush. Seriously.
  • Tanning: [1.] DON’T. [2.] If you must, please avoid it for 2 days before the shoot. Any redness and/or sunburn is very, very difficult to correct for.
